How to remove personal contact details on Facebook
On Tuesday, we discussed how Facebook has temporarily suspended the ability for third party applications to request and receive personal contact information that appears on individual profiles. Larry Magid over at CNET has put together a step by step guide to how to remove your personal details on your Facebook profile, if you haven’t done so already.
Essentially, there are four steps to this process. First, log into Facebook and click the Home button in the top right hand corner. Then, click Edit My Profile under your name. Third, click on Contact Information on the left hand column. Finally, make sure all of the mobile phone number, address, and other personal information fields are empty. After you have done this, hit the save button!
And while you are on Facebook don’t forget to check your privacy settings under Account in the top right hand corner. Always good to check and double check your privacy settings on any and all online profiles.
